Unified Champion Schools Manager

The Unified Champion Schools Manager is responsible for supporting the year-round efforts of Special Olympics Rhode Island’s (SORI) Unified Champion Schools (UCS) Program. Leads all aspects of youth program initiatives statewide, including Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools (UCS), SO College and other initiatives involving youth which are aimed at enhancing the Special Olympics athlete and partner experience. Reports to the Senior Director of Unified Champion Schools and Unified Champion City Schools.

Volunteer Services Director

The Volunteer Services Director is full time position responsible for organizational strategies encompassing volunteer needs, including recruitment, screening, orientation, training, retention, management, record keeping and evaluation. The Volunteer Services Director engages program staff and program volunteers in setting and pursuing best practices, driving continuous improvement, and developing and implementing innovative structures that will benefit all Special Olympics Rhode Island programs. The Volunteer Services Director coordinates volunteer efforts for all programing and teams as well as works with the Development and Marketing Department to secure volunteers for special events.

Internship – Sports Management Intern(s)

As a valuable and essential member of the Special Olympics Rhode Island program staff,  the Sports Management Intern will receive hands-on experience in the areas of developing, planning, organizing, and managing the execution of a year-round Olympic-style sports competition and training program for athletes, coaches and volunteers.
