The Law Enforcement Torch Run committee is excited to share the 2023 Torch Run T-Shirt! This year’s shirt features an exclusive design by Jacob Ferreira, a Special Olympics Rhode Island athlete and member of the Rhody Rangers team. Jacob’s design captures the symbolism behind the Flame of Hope and the Torch Run community’s mission to empower athletes throughout Rhode Island to transform themselves, their communities, and the world! We hope you enjoy the 2023 T-Shirt as much as we do!
A limited number of shirts will be available for purchase at $20 each of which the proceeds go towards supporting the athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island. Available sizes include small to XXX Large. Contact your local LETR members including police, fire, sheriffs, and/or corrections departments to inquire about getting a shirt. Jacob Ferreira, 25 years old from Cumberland, RI, has been a involved with Special Olympics for 17 years and is a current member of the Rhody Rangers. Jacob’s passion has always been art; ever since he could hold a crayon he has been drawing. His love for art is only surpassed by his passion for life. He has a positive outlook, is kind, and friendly to everyone he meets. If you are not yet friends with Jacob, it’s only because he hasn’t met you! He is super excited about this honor and can’t wait to participate in the upcoming 2023 Summer Games.
