Special Olympics Rhode Island is excited to announce plans to officially “Return to Play” with several modifications and guidelines beginning August 15th.   All decisions were made with the safety of all athletes, unified partners, families, coaches and volunteers in mind.  Our safety measures and protocols have been created following the recommendations and guidelines of Special Olympics, Inc., Center for Disease Control (CDC), Rhode Island Department of Health, the State of Rhode Island and the SORI Board of Directors and will be monitored throughout the season.  The health and safety of everyone involved with Special Olympics Rhode Island is our priority.

Special Olympics Rhode Island will be functioning under Phase One for the Sports being offered. All athletes will remain in Phase One for the sports/activities that they are participating in for practices and tournaments, unless it is deemed necessary to drop to a more restrictive stage.
