Meet Tommy Flynn!

What team do you participate on? 
Wampanoag Warriors 

What sports do you compete in? 
Track and Field, and Bowling. I have also participated in Swim and Flag Football as well.  

Where did you go to school? 
Tolman High School in Pawtucket, RI. Graduated in 2003.  

Why did you choose to participate in the Athlete Leadership University (ALU)? 
To become more involved in Special Olympics other than being an athlete.   

What have you accomplished through your involvement with ALU? 
I want to learn how to become more confident in communicating and listening to people. Also to learn the ways of becoming a leader.   

What do you enjoy doing for fun? 
I enjoy hanging out with my 2 nephews and going to all their games. Attending ‘Dream Ride’ every year is the best! I also love attending Celtic Thunder concerts.   

Is there anything else about yourself that you would like to share? 
I have made so many more friends than I ever would have. The support I have received from athletes & staff has been overwhelming, they all have gotten me through some very hard times with surgeries and recovery.
